Mark your calendars for December 3!

Thanks to everyone who attended our November meeting this afternoon. It was a good time of serving and sharing -- serving by helping with Right to Life's Life Before Birth calendar project, and sharing by discussing pro-life news (thanks, Kara!) and video clips.

Our next meeting is scheduled for Friday, December 3, from 4:00 - 5:00 P.M. We will again be meeting in the Strassweg Auditorium of the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library (180 W. Spring St., New Albany). Many thanks to the library for making this meeting space available to community groups like ours.

So... we'll see you on December 3 at 4:00! If you have any questions, send an E-mail to SouthernIndianaTFL@yahoo.com.

P.S. to those of you at the November meeting -- Don't forget about the calendars!

"Life Before Birth" Calendar Project

Would you like to help out your local Right to Life organization as well as your local Teens for Life group? Are you looking for a way to show your support for life every day of the year? Here's your chance!

The Southern Indiana Teens for Life group is offering "Life Before Birth" calendars, which are 14-month wall calendars spanning from January 2011 to February 2012. Each month features an adorable baby along with a few of the adorable baby's ultrasound pictures (an example is below).

As you can see, they are really cute and would be a great way to show your support for life every day of the year. Imagine what a great conversation-starter it would be for you to tell others about why you believe life is precious!

These calendars are available for a suggested donation of $10 each. Five dollars of each donation will go to support Right to Life of Southern Indiana, and five dollars will go to support Southern Indiana Teens for Life. The funds will help both groups  continue reaching hearts and minds about the sanctity of life.

If you would like a calendar or two (they make great Christmas gifts!), please E-mail SouthernIndianaTFL@yahoo.com and make sure to note your interest and contact information.

Thanks to everyone who attended the September meeting! It was a good time of sharing information and getting an idea of what our group may be able to do this year. Now, mark your calendars for the October meeting of the Southern Indiana Teens for Life group! This is an open meeting for all pro-life teens, whether you were able to attend September's meeting or not. We hope you'll come and be a part!

First meeting!

Mark your calendars for the first meeting of the Southern Indiana Teens for Life group! This is an open, informational meeting where you can come and learn more about what Teens for Life will be all about. We hope you'll come and be a part!

When?
Friday, September 24
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Where?
The auditorium of the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library*
180 W. Spring Street
New Albany, IN

Why?
Come learn more about what TFL will be all about. (Don't worry, attending this informational meeting doesn't force you to be a member all year or anything.)

Who?
You! Southern Indiana Teens for Life is open to ALL pro-life teenagers.

*We are very grateful to the library for allowing us the use of their space! (Please realize, however, that this is not a library-sanctioned event.)

Welcome!

The Southern Indiana Teens for Life is a new, local branch of the National Teens for Life organization. All pro-life teens are welcome to be a part as we work to establish a culture of life in our communities. Again, ALL pro-life teens are welcome! You do not need to be a member of any certain church, school, or religious or political group to be in Teens for Life. Our group is open to all pro-life young people approximately ages 13 - 19.

We know you're busy, so we will have meetings just once a month, each lasting no longer than one hour. In general, meetings will consist of listening to guest speakers, watching video clips, doing volunteer projects to help out pro-life organizations, and anything else our group can come up with. You can even count the meetings as volunteer hours! It's a fun and meaningful way to gain community service experience and leadership skills.

Join us as we discover how to defend life by learning more about the problems our country faces (abortion, euthanasia, infanticide, etc.). Join us as we take action by doing in-meeting volunteer projects for local pro-life organizations. Join us as, together, we stay encouraged in our fight for life and make a difference in our communities.

To learn more about Teens for Life, please visit the national TFL website at http://www.nationalteensforlife.com/ or the Indiana state TFL site at http://www.teensforlife.com/. The state site is pretty nifty because you can even create a "Facebook-esque" profile.
